Sibling Chivalry

Posted on: March 7, 2008

I mentioned the other day how sweet Logan and Carrie often are to each other. Here’s a little story to illustrate:

I put a ponytail in Carrie’s hair, then said, “You look so pretty! Go show Logan your ponytail!” Logan was standing nearby and heard me say this.

Carrie walked over to him and smiled, then twirled around so he could see. His face lit up and he said so sweetly, “Wow, it looks cute!” She grinned at him, and he leaned in and gave her a kiss, to which she responded “Thank you Logan!”

She walked away, but he followed her for a minute and said again, “That’s so cute, ponytail!”

A simple, everyday moment that I will forever treasure. I’m glad I wrote it down, because right now he’s taking away her toys and making her cry.

Thanks Erin….I do so appreciate the open window into your family life. It’t a little like already knowing you and the kids when we meet whenever.
